The library of Taishan Distric was founded in June,1987. The new site opened to the public in 23 April 2009.It is located on YingChun street with a total area of 5800 square meters.There are 548 seats for readers.Up to now,there is a collection of 150 thousand books,100 thousand electronic books. Now we subscribe to 120 kinds of newspapers and 225 kinds of periodicals.
Every year,all kinds of public welfare lectures and readers activities are held.It is a modern public library integrating culture, education, scientific research,leisure and so on.
The library has set up many departments with many services, including research and guiding department,local document department,purchasing&cataloguing department, library card application office, lending department, reading department, internet center and study room.
The library is open to the public for free, aiming to satisfy the reader's needs and practice the benefit of books.
